Why Sora CLI?

  • Motion & AI Ready: Built to serve the Sora UI ecosystem with first-class animation support (framer-motion, gsap, Motion) and prefers-reduced-motion compliance.
  • Universal Component Specifiers: Install not just by name, but via direct JSON URLs, GitHub repos (owner/repo/item), or scoped namespaces (@magicui/item).
  • Base Primitives Fallback: Automatically checks the Sora UI registry first; if a bare name is not found (e.g. button, dialog), it transparently falls back to ui.shadcn.com using your project’s configured style.
  • Intelligent Dependency Resolution: Flattens nested registry dependencies and installs npm packages automatically using your detected package manager (bun, pnpm, yarn, or npm).
  • Drift Detection: Use diff to inspect changes upstream before upgrading local code.
